You can import, update, and delete assets here. Additionally, you can drag assets and add them to the quick selection bar for easy access in the location view.

You can filter the assets list by selecting one or more of the asset type icons. When no icon is selected all asset types will be listed. The search field allows for filtering your assets by asset name.

Furthermore, you can access the project independent asset library, import assets or open the material creator with one of the top buttons.

World Builder – 3D Models https://www.portalsunited.com:443/docs/world-builder-3d-models/ https://www.portalsunited.com:443/docs/world-builder-3d-models/#respond Thu, 07 Nov 2024 09:32:32 +0000 https://www.portalsunited.com:443/?post_type=docs&p=260 The software supports importing 3D models via the Asset Manager, just like any other asset. You can easily load and organize 3D models in various formats, making them ready for use in your project. Simply import your 3D models through the Asset Manager, and they will be seamlessly integrated into your workflow.

World Builder uses .glb as its internal file format for 3D models. Therefore, importing .glb and .gltf (GL Transmission Format) files is supported. Additionally, the software also supports importing .fbx (Autodesk FBX) and .obj (Wavefront Object) files. Assimp is used internally as a converter. We cannot guarantee that .fbx or .obj files will appear exactly as they did in the software used for exporting them. Adjusting the export settings or wrapping textures into materials may help achieve the desired result.

Experimentally supported file types can be enabled in the importer settings.

World Builder – Images & Image Sequences https://www.portalsunited.com:443/docs/world-builder-images-image-sequence/ Wed, 23 Oct 2024 11:19:34 +0000 https://www.portalsunited.com:443/?post_type=docs&p=254 Images

You can import image files, which will be available as image assets in the project. Images can be placed in a location as a 2D plane within the 3D space. Additionally, they can be used for various purposes, such as applying a texture to a created material or adding an icon to a button.

Information about internally used and supported file types can be found in the importer settings. Image files with internal file types are imported without conversion, whereas image files with supported file types are converted to PNG.

Experimentally supported file types may not always import without issues.

The same applies when importing a collection of image files as an image sequence.

Image Sequences

Select either a PDF, a Power Point File or a collection of images from your local system to create an image sequence asset. Image sequences can be placed in a location as a 2D plane in 3D space. They can be played in Portal Hopper as an automatic presentation with a specified time interval per image or can be controlled via signals or logics.
